Long abstract

Egypt to participate in OECD review of e-government policies and services

The OECD is to undertake a review of Egypt’s e-government policies and services, the first such review in the Middle East North African (MENA) region of a country’s use of information and communications technologies for the provision of public services.

The review will be financed by Italy through its debt swap agreement with Egypt and will start in early 2010. It will help the Egyptian government to improve and streamline government services and provide other Arab countries with guidance and examples as they address similar challenges, Ashraf H. Abdel wahab, Deputy to Egypt’s Minister of State for Administrative Development, said.
