Briefing note for OECD Health Data 2011: How Does Germany Compare

Total health spending accounted for 11.6% of GDP in Germany in 2009, 2.1 percentage points higher than the average of 9.5% in OECD countries. Only the United States (17.4%), the Netherlands (12%) and France (11.8%) allocated more of their GDP to health than Germany in 2009.
