The workshop was organised as part of the OECD's Outreach programme, and more specifically, its regional programme on South-Eastern Europe as defined by the OECD's Center for co-operation with Non-Members.
The workshop was designed to be a follow-up to an earlier event in December 2001, and its purpose was to improve the quality of estimates of GDP and its components.  At the request of the participating countries the workshop focussed on estimates of GDP from the expenditure side, both annual and quarterly, in both current and constant prices.
