Long abstract
Purchasing Power Parities
The Statistics Directorate of the OECD is working with a number of non-member countries to calculate purchasing power parities that can be used as currency converters to enable inter-country comparisons to be made of GPD and related aggregates. Exchange rates cannot be used for this purpose because, unlike purchasing power parities, they do not correct for differences in the price levels between countries. |
