This conference will consider innovation in the software sector from business and economic perspectives, taking into account the factors that drive innovation, including key framework conditions. The agenda will be centred on advancing the mandate for the on-going OECD project on innovation in the software sector, which focuses on:

-- Research and development and the market environment in the software industry
-- User perspectives with respect to secure and accessible software.
