OECD finds that China is biggest exporter of Information Technology Goods in 2004, surpassing US and EU

China has become one of the most important global locations of the production and the assembly of information and communication technologies (ICTs). Following data release shows that China has become the biggest exporter of ICT good, surpassing Japan and the European Union in 2003 and taking the lead over the United States in 2004. Analysis of trade data also reveals changes in the East Asian industrial and trade structure, with new intra-regional trade flows suggesting new Asian production networks centred on China.
