Employment in the Public Sector: Initial Reflections on the Construction of a Data and Indicators Base

The aim of this note is to present various lines of research for developing a comprehensive database with indicators on employment in the public service. The database is one of GOV’s priorities in the draft programme of work and budget for 2005-2006 and should be one of the main inputs to an overall publication on “Civil service at a glance”.
