Gender at the Development Centre
The Development Centre works on several issues related to gender equality. In particular, we are interested in identifying and measuring obstacles to women's social and economic development. In our Gender, Institutions and Development (GID) Data Base, we have assembled various indicators of gender (in)equality. Unlike other data collection, the GID proposes a set of innovative indicators that measure discrimination in social institutions, such as traditions, social norms and family law. With Wikigender, we also constructed an online platform to share and exchange information on gender equality. Feel free to dive into the pool of available resources or add to the continuously growing knowledge database by drafting new articles or uploading new documents. |
