Les ministères et organismes de coopération pour le développement et de protection de l’environnement des pays de l’OCDE se sont réunis en vue d’intégrer les facteurs environnementaux dans les politiques de développement et les stratégies de lutte contre la pauvreté. Les réalisations de cette réunion ont inclus la mise sur pied d’un cadre concerté pour une action commune, et d’un programme concret pour l’intégration de l’adaptation au changement climatique dans la coopération pour le développement.

8th Annual Meeting of the EECCA Regulatory Environmental Programme Implementation Network

The eighth annual meeting of the Regulatory Environmental Programme Implementation Network (REPIN) in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA) was held in Tbilisi on 12-13th June 2006. The meeting was hosted by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Georgia, and organised by the OECD/EAP Task Force Secretariat. The meeting gathered about 60 participants.

The objective of this event was to discuss latest developments of environmental management in Russia and take stock of opportunities and obstacles to improving this system within the framework of the administrative reform and in light of good international practice. The seminar was a further step in identifying priority actions to improve environmental policy implementation, and promote its integration in economic and sectoral policies.

6th meeting of REPIN Network, Yerevan, Armenia

The sixth annual meeting of the EECCA Regulatory Environmental Programme Implementation Network (REPIN) took place on 26-28 September 2004, Yerevan, Armenia. Special attention was devoted to projects on strengthening environmental compliance assurance system in Kyrgyzstan, reforming environmental permitting in Ukraine and other EECCA, and on analysis of the effectiveness and efficiency of economic instruments in Russia and Armenia.

The Global Forum on Sustainable Development: Development and Climate Change addressed key issues relating to mainstreaming responses to climate change into economic development planning policies. It focused on mainstreaming adaptation to climate change within developing countries, within donor portfolios on development assistance, and within OECD domestic contexts.
