Trade policy makers, industry representatives, academics and other experts from OECD and non-OECD countries gathered to discuss the challenge of trade-related structural adjustment. Dans de nombreux pays Membres de l'OCDE, quelques grandes entreprises se partagent une partie de plus en plus importante des activités de transformation et de distribution des produits alimentaires. Les conséquences de ce mouvement de concentration sur les producteurs, les petits détaillants et les consommateurs, ainsi que les réponses que devraient apporter les pouvoirs publics, feront partie des questions soulevées dans le cadre d'une conférence intitulée "Les nouvelles dimensions de l'économie alimentaire : examen des questions de fond" , qui se tiendra à La Haye (Pays-Bas) les 6 et 7 février 2003.
