Conference on Globalisation and the Knowledge Economy

This conference shed light on a crucial issue concerning the phenomenon of globalisation and its impacts upon the development of the “knowledge economy”:  the link between innovation, structural change and productivity growth amid the intensification of cross-border economic linkages. It discussed the scope for public policy in implementing a national innovation and growth strategy in the global economy, and offered guidance for future work in this domain, in particular by the OECD Committee on Industry, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE).

OECD Workshop on the Globalisation of Production: Impacts of Employment, Productivity and Economic Growth

The OECD Workshop on the Globalisation of Production, to be held in Paris on 15-16 November 2005, aims to examine some of the main challenges for statistical measurement and empirical analysis which OECD member countries need to address in this area. The Workshop is open to delegates of OECD member countries.
