Cette rencontre internationale aura pour thème central la nécessité d'un dialogue entre l'État et la société civile pour l’élaboration de politiques publiques en faveur de l’économie sociale et solidaire. Elle permettra de mettre en valeur la richesse de l’économie sociale et solidaire à travers le monde, la diversité de ses expériences et le caractère innovant de ses entreprises et des nombreux partenariats construits entre les pouvoirs publics et la société civile.

The workshop was organised as an experts’ roundtable and aimed at (i) sharing information amongst experts on on-going and future work in respective policy fields, addressing demographic change; (ii) identifing key policy questions to be explored as well as key work of the OECD and other institutions to be referenced in the OECD LEED project on local scenarios of demographic change; and (iii) discussing collaboration opportunities and follow-up policy dialogues on the topic. In the framework of the 6th Festival of Economics on "The borders of economic freedom", the OECD LEED Trento Centre, in cooperation with the School on Local Development of the University of Trento, organised a round-table session on "Labour and productivity: the role of institutions, trade unions and business in the current economic crisis", which took place at the OECD Trento Centre (Vicolo S. Marco, 1) on Friday 3 June at 11.00 am. Aart de Geus, OECD Deputy Secretary General, and Sergio Arzeni, Director of the CFE Directorate, contributed to the discussion.

Conference participants learnt from experts in the fields of entrepreneurship education, quality management for start-up support, integrated business support and access to finance how ESF and ERDR are being used by managing authorities across Europe to stimulate entrepreneurship. The event was organised by the ESF Learning Network Community of Practice for Inclusive Entrepreneurship (COPIE 2). It took place at the Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften in Berlin-Mitte and was by invitation only.

This conference presented the report prepared for Slovenia as part of the OECD LEED "Improving social inclusion at the local level through the social economy" project in the framework of the Forum on Social Innovations. A team comprising members of the OECD LEED Secretariat and external experts visited Slovenia in January 2010 and in April 2010 for two study visits, to examine the role, both real and potential, of the social economy, and the support which could be given to the social economy to allow it to fulfil that potential.

On 11-12 February 2009, the Spanish city of Pamplona will host Agora Talentia, the first International Forum on Talent in the Knowledge Age. Talentia is organised by the Regional Government of Navarre, the Navarre Innovation Agency (ANAIN) and the Navarre Foundation for Diversification (FND), in collaboration with the OECD LEED Programme.

The objective of this workshop was to review the innovative tools and methods used, as part of local information systems, by local development organisations to: i) measure skills supply, demand and utilisation in local economies, ii) identify policy needs, shape policies and programmes that can best address these needs and iii) understand if policies are bringing results. Ensuring a smooth and quick transition from education to employment and fighting education drop-out trends are key objectives of youth policies across OECD countries. The seminar was addressed to those already working in partnerships on youth policies, or in the process of establishing a partnership in one of the following areas: (i) promoting entrepreneurship; (ii) youth skills initiatives; and (iii) integrating youth with accumulated disadvantages.
