Global Forum on Sustainable Development: Development and Climate Change

The Global Forum on Sustainable Development: Development and Climate Change addressed key issues relating to mainstreaming responses to climate change into economic development planning policies. It focused on mainstreaming adaptation to climate change within developing countries, within donor portfolios on development assistance, and within OECD domestic contexts.

Colloque OCDE sur les flux de matières et les indicateurs liéés, 17-18 juin 2004, Helsinki

Ce colloque a rassemblé des pays OCDE autour du thème des flux de matières et indicateurs liéés.  Le colloque a eu lieu à Helsinki, Finlande, avec une participation de plus de 50 délégués nationaux, experts internationaux et observateurs de l'industrie et d'ONGs environnementales.

3rd Meeting of Group of Senior Officials on Reform of the Water Supply and Sanitation Sector in EECCA, 2-3 February 2004, Paris, France

This was the third meeting of the Group. The Group has been established according to the conclusions of the Ministerial Consultation on Water Management and Investments in Almaty, October 2000. The main objective of the Group is to promote policy reforms in the urban water sector and to elaborate practical approaches for the implementation of the Almaty Guiding Principles for the Reform of the Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Sector in the EECCA. 

5th Annual Meeting of EECCA Network on Policies and Enforcement

The meeting in Kiev was the fifth annual gathering of enforcement officers and environmental policy makers from environmental authorities in the region of Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA). The main result of the meeting were the endorsement of the draft Work Programme of the Network for the period 2003-2006 and the new Term of Reference for the Network.

Séminaire OCDE/Chine sur les indicateurs d’environnement (15-16 décembre 2003)

Dans le cadre du Programme de l'OCDE de coopération et dialogue avec la Chine, un séminaire sur les indicateurs d'environnement a eu lieu le 15 au 16 décembre 2003 au siège de l'OCDE à Paris.  Le séminaire a eu lieu sous les auspices du Sous-groupe de l'OCDE sur l'information et les perspectives environnementales (WGEIO) avant sa réunion du 17 au 18 décembre 2003.

Le séminaire était organisé en coopération avec la State Environmental Protection Administration of China (SEPA) et le Chinese Academy for Environmental Planning (CAEP).

Workshop on the Valuation of Environmental Health Risks for Children - September 11-12, 2003

This international workshop, bringing together experts and policymakers from the health and environment fields, will allow for an improved understanding of the relative merits of standard approaches used to evaluate environmental health effects for children. It will also help to define practical recommendations for the valuation of children's health. The workshop is by invitation.

5th Pan-European Ministerial Conference

Environment Ministers from 55 countries of Europe, North America, Caucasus and Central Asia will meet in Kyiv on 21-23 May at 5th "Environment for Europe” Ministerial Conference. OECD provide inputs on environmental policy instruments, financing and management of urban water infrastructure.

14th Meeting of the Task Force for the Implementation of the Envrionment Action Programme for Central and Eastern Europe (EAP Task Force)

The 14th Meeting of the EAP Task Force, held on February 10-11, 2003 in Tbilisi (Georgia), discussed progress in implementing of the EAP Task Force work programme, reviewed its possible inputs to the Kiev "Environment for Europe" Ministerial Conference and agreed on possible areas of future work.
