Launching the OECD 2010 Fragile States Survey

The OECD 2010 Fragile States Survey on international responses to states affected by conflict and insecurity will be released at a joint event with the CSIS Post-Conflict Reconstruction (PCR) Project in Washington, D.C., Friday, February 26, from 9-11:00 am at CSIS, B1 Conference Center (1800 K Street NW, Washington, DC 20006). Development Assistance Committee (DAC) High Level Meeting

The High Level Meeting launched a new phase in donor approaches to the close linkage between development and security. Participants endorsed a policy statement and good practices on Security System Reform to help developing countries address their public security systems overall, including the functioning of police and justice systems, civilian control of the armed forces, and protection of human rights.
