The OECD Trade Directorate has organised a Global Forum on Trade in partnership with the World Bank, and with the support of the Government of Mexico. This Forum considered market access across various development dimensions including global (MFN) liberalisation, North-South trade and South-South trade, trade in services, and regional trade liberalisation (as a complement to multilateral liberalisation). Trade policy makers, industry representatives, academics and other experts from OECD and non-OECD countries gathered to discuss the challenge of trade-related structural adjustment. It was an opportunity for an exchange of views and sharing of experiences on adjustment policies from the perspective of a range of stakeholders.
