Event: Regulatory Policy at the Crossroads conference, 28-29 October

OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría will open the first OECD conference on regulatory policy on Thursday 28 October. “Regulatory and structural reforms are urgent not only to restore sustained and sustainable growth, but also to better adapt policies and institutions to the challenges of the 21st century,” said Mr Gurría.

Building integrity in government - a Global Forum

OECD Symposium: Mapping out Good Practices for Integrity and Corruption Resistance in Public Procurement / OECD Global Forum on Governance: Sharing Lessons on Promoting Good Governance and Integrity in Public Procurement

The Symposium validated the findings of the survey among OECD and observer countries to map out good practices for enhancing integrity in public procurement. The Symposium was immediately followed by the Global Forum on Governance  launching a structured policy dialogue on good practices between countries at different levels of economic development to cross-fertilise practices.

PACO Impact and OECD Regional Thematic Seminar on “Anti-corruption Services and Implementation of Conflict-of-Interest Laws”, Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro

OECD/IDB Forum on “Implementing Conflict of Interest Policies in the Public Service”, Rio de Janeiro, 5-6 May 2004

This high-level Forum for policy dialogue brought together policy makers and experts from OECD member countries and Latin America. It reviewed experiences in designing and implementing conflict of interest policies in the public service and identified conditions for success to put conflict-of-interest policy into practice in the national context.

OECD Global Forum on Governance: Fighting Corruption and Promoting Integrity in Public Procurement

The Global Forum on Governance brought together over 200 participants from all over the world to discuss methods, conditions and approaches to preventing, detecting and sanctioning corruption in public procurement.  The Forum addressed challenges and solutions to aspects of public procurement relating to integrity and good governance initiatives as well as to OECD anti-bribery instruments.
