Three days of high-calibre debates, global networking and a focus on innovation: For the third time, the International Transport Forum brought together Ministers and decision-makers from 52 member states in Leipzig, Germany, to debate strategic issues in transport, logistics, and mobility.
The International Transport Forum (ITF) will host a workshop on “Gateway Airport Investment and Development of Airline Services for a Global Economy”. This workshop will examine the development of gateway infrastructure for aviation, crucial to the functioning of the global economy.
This high level seminar, held at the OECD on 25-26 September 2008 gathered 150 participants from 39 countries. It was the occasion to brief high level policy makers on recent work of the Joint Transport Research Centre of the OECD on road safety and to hold a policy debate on implementation, political feasibility and public acceptance of the measures recommended by researchers and by road safety managers in the best performing countries.
