9th International Forum on Tourism Statistics, Paris (France)

The 9th Forum focussed on the five following themes: i) changes in tourism behaviour and demand; ii) the behaviour and performance of tourism enterprises; iii) measurement issues related to tourist and visitor surveys; iv) new approaches to data collection; and v) the usage of tourism statistics. Conclusions led to new improvements in tourism-related statistics and information.

Conference on “Global Tourism Growth: A Challenge for SMEs”, Gwangju, Korea

This event was hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Korea (MCT).  The conference aimed at learning more about the dynamics and new business models of the tourism enterprises and at increasing understanding of strategies that promote the participation of tourism SMEs in the supply and distribution value chains and networks. Papers and presentations from the conference are now availbable online.
