Workshop on Changing Supply and Demand for Science and Technology Professionals in a Globalised Economy

In response to the 2004 OECD Science Ministerial, which asked the OECD to explore ways to help member countries foster the development of a mobile and diverse S&T workforce, this workshop addressed sources of new industrial demand for S&T graduates, improvement of the labour market for S&T professionals, and sought “good practices” to improve the match between the supply of S&T graduates and demand.

Workshop on Measuring Behavioural Additionality, Vienna (Austria)

This workshop, organised in Vienna in co-operation with the Austrian "Plattform Fteval", aims to explore how government funding of business R&D influences the behaviour of firms and how such effects can best be measured and evaluated. Sectoral Case Studies in Innovation

The OECD Working Party on Innovation and Technology Policy (TIP) has launched a project on Case Studies in Innovation that examines innovation patterns in three different fields: Energy, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and Knowledge Intensive Service Activities (KISA).

Forum on Business Performance and Intellectual Assets, Paris (France)

Empirical Research on Changing Business R&D Strategies

Businesses have changed the way they organise and conduct R&D. This workshop reviewed empirical research under way in several OECD countries to examine these changes, their motivations, and the effectiveness of government financial support to business R&D.
