Workshop on Tax Incentives for Business R&D in OECD Countries: Comparisons and Evaluations

Workshop on Innovation Indicators for Policy Making and Impact Assessment

Do we have the right set of indicators to measure the outcomes and impacts of innovation? To what questions about the impacts of R&D and innovation would policy makers like the data to give an answer? What extra insights on innovation do we gain by linking different surveys and datasets? This workshop to be held in Paris will address these and other questions and discuss the implications for future OECD work in this area.

Joint OECD-Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs Conference on Globalisation and Open Innovation

Workshop on International Scientific and Technological Co-operation for Sustainable Development, Johannesburg (South Africa)

This workshop sought to identify good practices in international S&T co-operation between OECD members and non-members. It discussed possible indicators of such good practices, as well as S&T solutions conducive to sustainable development in the areas of water and energy. Proceedings will be published in May 2007.

This conference, held in Berlin, provided a platform for international experts in the field of IP valuation and exploitation to review current motivations and practices for patent valuation and exploitation across industry sectors and examine ways in which public and private sector organisations can improve the effectiveness of the system of IP valuation and exploitation.

Workshop on Changing Supply and Demand for Science and Technology Professionals in a Globalised Economy

In response to the 2004 OECD Science Ministerial, which asked the OECD to explore ways to help member countries foster the development of a mobile and diverse S&T workforce, this workshop addressed sources of new industrial demand for S&T graduates, improvement of the labour market for S&T professionals, and sought “good practices” to improve the match between the supply of S&T graduates and demand.
