Capacity Working Group and Disciplines Study Group Meetings: 6-10 October 2003
The Capacity Working Group continued with its review of steel industry developments in economies participating in High-Level steel initiative. The session was followed by a meeting of the Disciplines Study Group (DSG), on 8-10 October.
Subsequent DSG meetings have been tentatively scheduled for February and April 2004.

The OECD and the EC are assessing methodologies for constructing composite indicators of country performance in different policy areas. The Workshop on 12 May 2003 made a start towards developing quality guidelines for composites.

As part of the project on Micro-Policies for Growth, effective entrepreneurship policies are being identified and better firm-level data is being developed. The Workshop on 11 April 2003 in Finland advanced these efforts.
