Employment and social affairs ministers from 15 OECD countries will meet in Stockholm to discuss ways to improve sickness and disability policies and make them central to labour market strategies to deal with the impact of the current crisis and beyond. The Forum on “Sickness, Disability and Work: Addressing Policy Challenges in OECD Countries”, organised by the OECD and the government of Sweden, aims to help policy makers understand the importance of effective social and disability policies and how they can improve longer-term outcomes for the individuals concerned and society as a whole.

Finnish State Secretary Ms Terttu Savolainen, Minister of Labour Ms Tarja Cronberg, OECD Deputy Secretary General Aart de Geus and OECD Project Leader Christopher Prinz will present the findings of this new OECD report at a press conference at 09.30 AM on Thursday 20 November.
