The OECD Technical Expert Meeting on Environmentally Harmful Subsidies

This meeting was held in Paris on 3-4 November 2003 and was a follow-up to the previous Workshop on Environmentally Harmful Subsidies held on 7-8 November 2002. The meeting gathered experts to address the issues of reforming environmentally harmful subsidies in the agriculture, fisheries, water, transport and energy sectors, particularly the question of obstacles to subsidy reform.

The OECD Workshop on Environmentally Harmful Subsidies (7-8 November 2002)

is part of the OECD activity on Sustainable Development and seeks to identify those subsidies potentially environmentally harmful. It responds to the 2001 Ministerial mandate to the OECD to identify how obstacles to policy reforms can be overcome through reducing environmentally harmful subsidies.
