OECD news conference to present Employment Outlook 2008 on 2 July 2008

Discrimination in the workplace, work-related mental illness and pay and working conditions in foreign affiliates of multinational enterprises are among the issues explored in the 2008 edition of OECD's annual Employment Outlook, to be published on Wednesday 2 July 2008.

OECD reviews Canada’s Economy and its Job Market for Young People

OECD’s assessment of Canada’s economy and its youth labour market are very positive. Economic performance has been amongst the best in the OECD and the employment rate amongst 15 – 24 year olds is well above the OECD average. This positive overview comes with warnings and recommendations which will be outlined during a news conference at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday 11 June in the National Press Theatre. 

Next edition of "Benefits & Wages" will be released early 2007

Benefits and Wages (2007) will analyse tax-benefit reforms during the past ten years and summarise their effects on family incomes and work incentives. A special chapter will focus on childcare costs faced by working parents and discuss policy measures that can make childcare more affordable.
