Civil Society and Parliamentarians
Since its creation, the OECD has co-operated with civil society, principally through the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD (BIAC) and the Trade Union Advisory Committee (TUAC). The OECD also has long-standing relations with parliamentarians through the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Over the last decade, this co-operation has been complemented by increasing activities with other civil society organisations (CSOs) such as through consultations with OECD committee members and the annual OECD Forum.
